DESCRIPTION

The coolant level sensor is located in the expansion tank and monitors the amount of fluid in the system. In the event the level drops below normal, this sensor sends a signal to illuminate the low level light on the dash. Precise operation is a must. If your coolant is confirmed to be at the correct level, your coolant level sensor might have failed. 

HELPFUL TIPS

Check the condition of your expansion tank, as it's quite common for the plastic to deteriorate and crack over time.
