BMW fitted different shock absorber sizes to the E34 520i, 525i, and 535i, and the easiest way to be sure which ones you have is to remove the dust cap off the upper strut mount under the bonnet and check the size of the nut. This Bilstein B8 strut insert is for vehicles fitted with a 22mm nut.
