DESCRIPTION

The thermostat limits the flow of coolant through the engine. This accelerates warm-up times and helps maintain the optimum temperature once it’s reached. Often thermostats can become stuck in one position, resulting in engine overheating or running too cool. Both scenarios can cause engine damage. This relatively inexpensive item should be on everybody's list of items to replace every few years to maintain optimum performance. Made in Germany by OEM supplier Wahler.
