DESCRIPTION

The front control-caster arm bushings play a quiet but important role in how an E36 or Z3 feels on the road. They locate the front control arms, control caster angle, and absorb a huge amount of braking and cornering load. When they’re fresh, the steering feels stable, predictable and well connected. When they’re tired, the car starts to feel loose and unsettled.

Over time the rubber softens and cracks. The control arms begin to move fore and aft under braking and turn-in, which leads to vague steering, tramlining, and inconsistent wheel alignment — even if the rest of the suspension is in good condition.

This complete bushing set from Febi Bilstein replaces the worn factory bushings and restores the proper location of the front control arms, bringing the steering and front-end stability back to how BMW intended.

These are made to OE specifications for fit and rubber compound, so you get the correct balance between comfort, durability and steering precision — not the overly soft feel of cheap aftermarket rubber, and not the harshness of solid or polyurethane alternatives.
