DESCRIPTION

This Lemförder engine mount is a direct OEM-quality replacement for both the left and right-hand sides of BMW E39 523i, 525i, 528i and 530i models.

Lemförder is the original equipment supplier to BMW for many suspension and rubber mounting components, making these engine mounts an excellent choice for restoring the refinement and driving experience the E39 was designed to deliver.

The engine mounts isolate engine vibration from the chassis while securely supporting the engine under acceleration, braking and cornering. As the original rubber ages, it gradually softens and deteriorates, allowing excessive engine movement and increased vibration to be transmitted into the cabin.

On the E39, worn engine mounts can contribute to vibrations felt through the steering wheel or seats at idle, driveline shunt during gear changes, or a less refined feel under acceleration. Because the deterioration happens gradually, many owners don’t realise how much the mounts have worn until they fit new ones.
