DESCRIPTION

With age and mileage, the rear wheel bearings on the E39 5 Series are prone to wear, causing a metallic knocking, grinding, or clicking noise. Failure can be potentially dangerous. This replacement rear wheel bearing kit is manufactured by FAG, an original equipment supplier of bearings to BMW, and repackaged by IPD. Comes complete with new bolts and hub nut.

HELPFUL TIPS

It's always a good idea to replace both rear wheel bearings at the same time.

My bearings were fine but at 250,000km I decided to change them out while I had the rear end apart for other work. Fit and work just like they should, easily done if you're already in there.
