DESCRIPTION

The Valvetronic actuator controls an eccentric shaft that determines intake valve lift, to help the car achieve the best possible performance and fuel efficiency. Unfortunately, these motors can fail over time, leading to a loss of power and the 'check engine' light appearing. We offer this replacement actuator from VDO, the original equipment supplier to BMW at a fraction of the dealership cost.

HELPFUL TIPS

The 'limit stops' on the Valvetronic system often have to be re-calibrated with a special BMW scan tool after the actuator has been replaced. We recommend speaking with a specialist BMW mechanic prior to installation.
