DESCRIPTION

The front lower control arms help to keep the wheels on-track and the suspension planted over bumps and through corners. Over time, the bushes will degrade, causing a loose feeling that can lead to a potentially dangerous scenario. Manufactured as a direct replacement for the original ageing arms, they come complete with bush pre-pressed for easy installation. Of the two lower control arms that come on the front of the X5, this fits to the forward mounting position, pointing from the wheel to the nose of the car.

HELPFUL TIPS

When replacing the lower control arms on the E53 X5, we strongly advise changing the ball joints at the same time. You can find them at the bottom of this page.

Low cost and convenient.

Received the item promptly. Have not yet installed it. The quality looks good. Also, the bushing is pre-installed, which saves alot of hassle of installing a bushing. Much cheaper than purchasing from a dealer. After reading the workshop manual, have realised that the nylon lock-nut (not included with the part) should be replaced. Would suggest buying this nut from a dealer before you pull your car apart to do the replacement.
