A common problem with high mileage E53 X5 models, wheel bearing are prone to failure, and can have dangerous consequences. The first sign of failure is often a metallic knocking, grinding or clicking sound, or as a vibration through the steering wheel. This replacement rear wheel bearing kit is manufactured by FAG, an original equipment supplier of bearings to BMW, and repackaged by IPD with additional fitting accessories. This kit comes with the bearing pre-pressed into the hub, bolts, and hub nut.
