DESCRIPTION

With the expansion tank being exposed to high pressures and temperatures, the plastic tank is known to crack and leak (particularly at the hose fittings). Without the correct amount of fluid in your BMW’s cooling system, your vehicle can overheat, causing expansive issues. With the high failure rate of ageing tanks, we recognise that the market has been flooded with notoriously cheap aftermarket replacements, which is why we choose to stock NRF tanks that are high quality and designed to last. This expansion tank includes a brand-new coolant level sensor and bleed screw. 

HELPFUL TIPS

Over time, overflow tank caps can mould to the shape of the old tank. Replacement of the cap is highly recommended with the purchase of a new tank to guarantee a proper seal.

hmmmmm

Well this was not the best experience. The Coolant tank is ok, but the level indicator is manufactured wrong. it does not pop up all the way and hence does not accurately indicate the coolant level. I would expect this from a cheap chinese copy, not from BEHR. But anyway as long as it doesn't leak... :)

***We got in touch with Jeremy to ensure there was no functionality issues with his tank. The way that Behr-Hella manufactures this tank is slightly different from the original version, in that the red bobber doesn't come out as far when it's filled when compared with the original BMW tank. We want to assure our customers that these are very high quality tanks and the minor design revision in no way impacts the job of the expansion tank. -- Clickable Team
