The Bilstein B6 range of shock absorbers are an excellent choice for owners wanting to upgrade to sportier handling characteristics and an improved ride on their E60. Compared to the original shocks that were fitted from the factory, the quality of Bilstein’s designs and the components used are in a completely different league. This means that they provide much better shock absorption, and the damping rates are able to be more finely tuned by Bilstein’s engineers who develop these struts at the Nurburgring. The B6s are direct-replacement shock absorbers with increased longevity.
Helpful tips
The shock absorbers fitted to your car from the factory have a relatively short life before they fall out of there efficacy range and fail to deliver the same damping abilities they once did. Replacing yours will not only overhaul your car’s handling and comfort, but its safety as well.
