DESCRIPTION

A brief lesson from the world of physics: heat causes the coolant in your cooling system to expand and contract, with the expansion tank in your BMW giving the coolant somewhere to go during heat cycles. Made from plastic, these tanks are exposed to incredible heat and pressures, causing the hose fittings and joins to fail without warning. With the high failure rate of ageing tanks, we recognise that the market has been flooded with notoriously cheap aftermarket replacements, which is why we choose to stock replacement expansion tanks from NRF.

HELPFUL TIPS

Over time, overflow tank caps can mould to the shape of the old tank. Replacement of the cap is highly recommended with the purchase of a new tank to guarantee a proper seal.
