DESCRIPTION

This mechanical belt tensioner keeps pressure on the main drive belt, ensuring that the auxiliary units are functioning correctly. When the pulley or tensioner begin to wear out, this can cause battery charging issues, overheating, or a failure of the air conditioning system. Manufactured by INA, an original equipment supplier to BMW, and repackaged by IPD Germany.

HELPFUL TIPS

It's always a good idea to replace the belt whenever changing the tensioner.

The OEM pulley has a recessed bolt that is undone with a 8mm allan key. It has a risk of being difficult to remove if the bolt head strips during removal.

This Clickable pulley has a regular bolt head that is tightened/loosened with a regular socket so there is much less risk of being stuck with a bolt that cannot be removed. Much cheaper alternator to the OEM pulley.
