DESCRIPTION
A common weak point on modern BMWs, this sleeve creates a seal between the mechatronics unit and the transmission. Over time this sleeve can warp due to the immense heat from the transmission, creating transmission fluid leaks on the floor of your garage. If too much fluid escapes from your transmission, it can cause some very expensive problems. A relatively straight-forward job, this replacement sealing sleeve comes from BMW transmission supplier, ZF.
HELPFUL TIPS
The pins can be sensitive to static electricity, so wear rubber gloves and try to avoid touching them. As the pins are also quite fragile, be careful of the locating tab on the sleeve during removal and installation.PART NUMBERS
