DESCRIPTION

Fitted to the back of the cylinder head, this is a common point of leaks on all BMW's fitted with the N42, N46 or N46N engines. This camshaft cover plate can crack or the gasket simply perishes with age. Clean up your engine bay and reduce oil consumption with this BMW Genuine replacement.

tip for replacing this item in the e46 is to remove the blower motor access panel behind the engine for more space to work

Good product

This was difficult to get to but like most of the rubber gaskets on the engine, these were hard & perished. Lucas advised this as a necessary item to change & I’m glad I listened!
Wasn’t easy to get to, as it’s up against the firewall, but well worth the effort!
