Later 135i and 335i models with the updated N55 engine still experience common issues in the cooling system, particularly with the coolant expansion tank. Over time and heat cycles, these tanks can crack and cause leaks. Given the high failure rate of aging tanks, the market is flooded with cheap aftermarket replacements. This Mahle tank, an OEM supplier to BMW, offers a reliable solution. It includes a coolant level sensor for added convenience.
