DESCRIPTION

The eccentric shaft sensor is a key component of BMW’s Valvetronic variable valve lift system, monitoring the position of the eccentric shaft to precisely control intake valve movement. Mounted on the cylinder head, this sensor is sealed with a dedicated gasket that is prone to hardening and oil seepage over time — especially on ageing N52 six-cylinder engines. 

Located in the middle of the valve cover at the front of the engine, this gasket is disturbed any time the valve cover is removed. Replacing this gasket is recommended whenever the valve cover is removed.

This Elring Eccentric Shaft Sensor Gasket is a direct-fit replacement for BMW part number 11127559699, ensuring the same sealing quality as the factory-installed component. Elring gaskets are produced to OEM specifications and provide excellent resistance to heat, oil, and pressure — ideal for maintaining leak-free operation around the Valvetronic housing.
