Description

We’re excited to welcome one of our long-time favourite engine oils back into the range. Motul 8100 X-Cess 5W-40 is a high-performance, 100% synthetic engine oil that offers trusted protection for a wide range of naturally aspirated and early turbocharged BMW engines.

Approved to BMW Longlife-01, Porsche A40, and MB 229.5 standards, this oil is ideal for modern classics from the E36, E39, and E46 era—including models like the 330i, 530i, Z4 3.0si, and many more.

While newer oils have shifted to thinner formulas for fuel economy gains, X-Cess 5W-40 remains focused on protecting engines—especially in our harsher Australian conditions. With a strong additive package rich in ZDDP (zinc dialkyldithiophosphate), this oil excels at:

  • Reducing wear in older valvetrain designs

  • Maintaining stable oil pressure

  • Resisting sludge and varnish build-up

  • Supporting extended drain intervals while keeping internals clean

This 1L bottle is ideal for topping up between services or keeping in the boot just in case.
