New Road Shipping & Improved Express Rates

A founding principle here at Clickable is to offer high-quality parts for the best prices delivered to your door, wherever you may be in Australia. We’re introducing some changes to our shipping fees to help ensure that we can continue to deliver on that promise in 2020.

For customers within capital cities and metropolitan areas, standard road service delivery will now be $10 on anything up-to 12kg. For orders over 12kg, the extra cost will be calculated automatically during checkout at heavily subsidised rates. For customers in more remote or country areas, the best price to your location will be automatically calculated based on size, weight, and postcode, at subsidised rates, starting from $10.

Most of our customers will still enjoy $10 road shipping on the parts you purchase. For large and or heavy orders, you will notice a small increase in shipping. Customers in remote or country areas will, unfortunately, see a noticeable increase to their shipping costs. With these changes, we’re confident that as an overall purchase price, Clickable will continue to be the trusted and most affordable source of quality European parts, regardless of wherever you are in Australia.

Since 2011, we have been subsidising the shipping costs for our customers’ orders, particularly for those located in more remote areas. Though we will be continuing to subsidise shipping costs, a change was needed. We put a lot of consideration into how best to make the next step, and we have been working with our freight partners to bring costs down and minimise the change as much as possible. Through this review process, we have been able to give our customers from Perth much better shipping rates. We are also pleased to introduce new, better priced Express shipping options available at checkout. We have done everything we can to minimise the impact to our customers in remote locations and feel our new rates provide the right balance. To give some insight into our decision; only about 10% of orders are to a remote location but, these shipments add up to about 50% of our overall freight cost. This 10% of our orders reduce our ability to expand our product range, improve our website, and overall offer more value to 90% of our customers. Naturally, the alternative would be to raise prices on all products to cover our shipping costs, however these changes enable us to maintain our competitive pricing throughout our product range for everyone.

These changes will come into effect on Friday the 6th of December 2019. We hope you enjoy the improved Express rates, and customers from Perth enjoy a significant drop in all freight costs.
