DESCRIPTION

Also known as the blower motor resistor or “hedgehog unit”, this final-stage resistor is responsible for controlling the fan speed in your BMW’s heating and air conditioning system. When it fails, it can cause all sorts of frustrating symptoms—such as the fan only working on one speed, not turning off, or running even when the ignition is off.

We’ve recently switched over to Febi Bilstein as our preferred supplier for this part. Febi is a trusted German manufacturer with a long-standing reputation for producing high-quality electronics and HVAC components—offering a reliable alternative to the more expensive BMW Genuine version, without compromising on performance or longevity.

If you’re experiencing erratic fan behaviour, replacement is the only lasting solution—and this unit will get your climate control working as it should.
