DESCRIPTION

The Vanos Solenoid Valve (SOLV) is a critical part of the variable camshaft timing in modern BMW's. A common fault component, these valves have a tendency to go bad and can cause a wide array of problems, from erratic engine performance, warning messages to hard starting and a rough idle. Engine problems can come and go as these valves start to go bad but, with being such an important but sensitive component, a quality replacement is a must. In the past, this has been one of the few parts that we have only sold BMW Genuine however, these new-to-market valves from Continental/VDO offer a quality part at a much more reasonable price.

200k+ kms on the clock with the original solenoids, replaced with these genuine solenoids and immediately noticed a dramatic difference with responsiveness. Though the original ones still worked, it just made my 20 year old bmw drive much better.

Save yourself $100 by buying from CA as opposed to the BMW dealership for an OE part. 5 minute job to replace to get your N46 engine smooth running again. Excellent customer service as always from Lucas and the team. Thanks.
