DESCRIPTION
This hydraulic tensioner keeps the air conditioner drive belt tight, ensuring there is enough traction for the compressor to operate. Over time the pullies can degrade, and the hydraulic tensioners can wear out the internal piston seals, leading to a weak or failed air conditioner system. Manufactured by INA, an original equipment supplier to BMW, and repackaged by IPD. Complete with hydraulic tensioner, pulley, and brackets.
HELPFUL TIPS
It's always a good idea to replace the a/c belt at the same time as the changing the tensioner assembly.
