DESCRIPTION
The tensioner ensures the drive belt keeps contact with the alternator and water pump. Over time these hydraulic tensioners can wear out the internal piston seals, reducing the amount of tension on the belt and causing the cooling and electrical systems to fail. This replacement tensioner is manufactured by INA, an original equipment supplier to BMW, and repackaged by IPD.
