DESCRIPTION

The E53 X5 was considered to be the best handling SUV of its era. Bilstein offer their B6 front shock absorbers that upgrade both ride and handling, improving the X5's already excellent on-road abilities. With its increased dampening performance, Bilstein refer to these as their High Performance range of shocks, but they are commonly known in the community as Sports or Heavy Duty replacement shocks. Standard shock absorbers become spongy when they’re worked hard, as the hydraulic fluid turns into an oily foam. The Bilstein B6 uses a mono-tube design that maximises the performance of the shock, maintaining a predictable and precise connection with the road under trying conditions. The B6 shocks offer high-speed stability, improved ride quality, and precise handling thanks to this Monotube gas pressure design -- an original design from Bilstein that’s still the best in the industry. The Bilstein B6s are direct-replacement shock absorbers providing increased longevity, and come complete with dust boot and internal bump stop.
